It has been a long year....

I think the last time we posted on our site was to announce when Caitlin was born. Well, her first birthday is now past and as we settle with the two kids, it is time to update the site.

We do update Facebook almost every day and post recent pictures there but not everyone is on Facebook. So, we'll make a better effort to post at least the pictures here. Happy Birthday Caitlin!

Caitlin Ann Born 4/22 at 4:17PM

Heather delivered beautiful Caitlin Ann at 4:17pm on Wednesday 4/22/2009. She came in at 7 pounds 14 ounces and 19 3/4 inches.

Just a hair taller than Rebecca was and almost a pound more. Heather did great and there were almost no complications. Rebecca is happy to finally get to hold her baby sister. The family came home Thursday evening and adjusting to the new schedule. Thanks for everyone's support. See you all soon.

Mt Rainier Summit!

Scott and his friend Evan successfully summited Mt Rainier this Sunday morning. Sunny HOT weather, rain, sleet, snow, high winds, and a spectacular lightning storm didn't prevent the two from summiting at 8AM Sunday morning via the Disappointment Cleaver route.

Vacation to Sequim, WA with the Walls

This weekend we took a short vacation with Wes (Scott's Co-worker) and his family to Sequim on a beautiful sunny weekend.

We visited the Lavender fields, the Olympic Game Park, and of course the beach. We all had a great time, the beach house had the best view, and the weather was great.

Rattlesnake Ledge Hike

We decided to go on another hike today with our church and Father Chuck. We got a late start but met everyone at the top. What a great view and the 2+ miles up on the trail was great exercise.

Twin Falls Hike

It is hard to pass up a beutiful sunny day in the Cascades to take the family hiking.

Heather got everyone up and out of the house early to beat the crowds and the hot Seattle heat for a family hike up to Twin Falls. Rebecca is already seasoned on the backpack when she went snowshoing with Mommy this Winter. We all had a great short hike and Rebecca even walked the last 1/2 mile. Looking forward to many more family hikes this summer.

Rebecca and Heather were there cheering on Daddy as he raced in the North Face Endurance Challenge this weekend in Bellingham.

Happy Easter

For Easter we went to our Great Aunt Ginny's house to play with my cousins. Crissy taught me how to put olives on my fingers and this year I got my first Easter Beagle too!

My new Dora ball

Check out my new ball. I can say ball and yellow too. I like to throw it to Mommy, Daddy, and Denali too.

Cool Dude!

Daddy and Rebecca spent a nice sunny day at the park. Rebecca was sporting some new shades that, amazingly, she kept on the whole time. She really likes to come down the slide on her belly as well.

Merry Christmas from Breckenridge, Colordo

We spent the Christmas holiday in Breckenridge, Colorado with the Smiths and the entire Phipps family. We had a white Christmas, did some great skiing at Breck and Vail, and enjoyed the great weather and family fun. See you all in 2008!

Welcome to our new website

Well, being the developer that Scott tries to be in his spare time, the new site is now live. The main features we strived for were dynamic news updates, an adventure blog, and a great new photo album so you can all keep tabs on litte Rebecca. Let us know what you think.
